wintry season

it's been a calm and quiet beginning anew here in the year 2015. i arrived on the coast of east after a four day train adventure and have been filling my days with long walks, good talks, stove top soup burbling, yoga in the church basement, rememberings, and making small things. here are some of them:

gift for the lovely mothership

inspired by one amazing gracie chimneyswift who made me such a beautiful poemproject when i embarked on my californiavoyage, i made for the sisterstar her own poem-a-month project. above is the box the poems arrived in.

the project includes poempillow, poempatches, and poems like the mothership's. also teaball and pen for the poetess herself. 

what a beautiful noel. the sistar made for me a box out of cherry and a small felt fox!

it's been a long time, mateys! but I haven't stopped crafting :)

a good friend got married recently and I made this as a gift:

In my state of underemployment, I've been doing lots of crafting. Yesterday's creations:

And an awesome snowglobe as a gift for an awesome person. This is the inside bit before I put it in the water (it now requires re-gluing because my glue was not exactly waterproof...)

The Craft Pirates were at another craft fair, a very windy one:

This weekend we'll be selling at Baltimore's biggest farmer's market and in a couple of weeks we'll be at another fair hosted by a local bike co-op :)
